Market Report

The day was mostly calm. Weather was wet, then dry, then wet again.

An illicit drinker was passed out around noon, and some volunteers tried to call safe ride. He woke up, and then refused to get help. Later, at the end of the day the same man came back to the park more intoxicated and was taken to the hospital. We should have tried harder earlier in the day to help him.

Louise collected 3 more names for the Vending ticket campaign. She will hand these to Vivienne later in the week.

Peter K - an afternoon marshal quit after not getting a 'volunteer' tag on his safety vest. His spot was not replaced.

We got fencing delivered by the city of Vancouver and used it to further control the 'hot goods' corner.

I brought my mobile wifi stick, and Jack streamed some videos live to our facebook site.

January 4th is the one year anniversary of the street vendor in Tunisia setting himself on fire and sparking the Arab revolts.
