Street Market Report - September 29, 2013

Street Market Report - September 29, 2013

Please visit the blog: http://dtesstmkt.blogspot.ca for all past weekly reports on the Street Market

It was the second rainy Sunday in a row. Again, we just tried to survive and weather the storm.

The market got going fine due to breaks in the rain, and we had a full contingent of vendors through both halves of Carrall St.
Due to the rain, we saved a little money and sent some of the volunteers home, and there was no fishing for jobs where people did not show up.

We did have a very special guest walk through the market at about 2pm - Inspector Michelle Davey! No doubt she was doing some shopping for some nice inexpensive binned items.

Financial Report

It was the second week in a row that we decided not to hold the 50/50 draw due to weather. Charlie did not show up sell our donations, but it was unlikely that we would have gotten a lot of interest anyway due to the rain. We gave away a ton of free baked potatoes courtesy of MP Kennedy Stewart (actually we crashed a BBQ on Saturday after lending some tents and walked away with some extra food...:) )

1) Tent/Table Rental = $103.95
2) Coffee/Pop Sales = $45.00

Total Revenue = $148.95
Total Spending = $49.35 ($43 for a ramp for our container at 62 East Hastings, the rest for cream for the coffee)
Petty cash now = $1,504.09

Vendor Count = 71 @ noon
