Street Market Report - September 15, 2013

Summary

This was the first market day in months where we had substantial rain during the day. It was clear until about noon, then the rain cleared most of the 'untented' vendors, before returning at about 2pm after the rain stopped.

There were a few incidents throughout the day, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Today was the last day where we will have to roll all the equipment up the ramp from the Lux underground parking. This is really important, as all the volunteers will tell you. We now have a 20' container in our new lot at 62 East Hastings (thank you, City of Vancouver and BC Housing!) and all the equipment now lives there during the week.

The setup and tear down of the market will now be substantially easier, and we will slowly begin to be able to hold a market at our new lot on other days of the week.
