Street Market Report - November 24, 2013

It was a cold but clear day with lots of sun.
Grey Cup weekend and the fact that it was after welfare day made the number of vendors a little lower than normal. We still had 120 vendors at noon.

A brief incident with the volunteer, Anthony, that was banned when he walked through the market. We had a complaint later in the day that he was bothering one of the vendors, but we will just keep an eye out and make sure that he does not cause trouble.

Another vendor was warned about his behavior as well - Fred. The letter is included in the report.

A reporter from the Courier came and interviewed some volunteers. We hope that the article will be favorable.

Chef Alain Chow from Winner Winner Chicken Dinner came down to the market and gave away a ton of free pizza buns to the vendors and volunteers at the end of the day.

We had a great talk with a sanitation guy named Todd. He helped us look at the power box that the city can not find the key to (we have been asking for access to the power box for more than two years), and help us a lot with information in navigating the city bureaucracy. Thanks, Todd!
