Not the best day ever, but the best day ever when we did not have
bannocks for sale...
1) Table Rental = $48.00 (Rented one tent for $4, in the future we
will rent as many as we can)
2) DNC Sales = $18.75 (not a great day, we did not have Puff on the job...)
3) 50/50 Raffle = $45.75 (445 tickets sold => $111.25 in the pot. We
are right on the money. First prize was $55.50, second prize was $10,
leaving $45.75)
4) Coffee/Juice/Pop = $128.67 (Kelvin helped all day, we sold out all
of our pop, and gave away a lot of chocolate milk that was donated by
Craig the quest guy)
Total for the day = $241.17 (estimated profits of $146)
Total for the month of July = $1,346.83 (almost twice the total for June)
Total revenues to date = $3,581
Total gross profits to date = $1,845
Capital improvement purchases to date = $1,221 (tents, tables, carts, etc...)
Average daily profits = $92
Summary of the day
Many vendors asked if they could rent chairs and tents, like they did
before. We realized that tent and chair renting was being done for
quite a while without the revenue being reported. We will continue
renting these items and record the revenue for the good of the market.
We managed the market today while only taking $200 of the VANDU
administered grant money. We will further decrease this next week.
His Honourable - The Rev. Barry came out again and said that we
weren't doing enough to keep vendors off of the area in front of his
church. We are debating stationing someone there semi-permanently. It
will be discussed at the next Saturday meeting.
VANDU Administered Grant-Paid Volunteers Were...
Glenn F - #1 - $60
Dominic - #2 - $35 (Elvis was elected but did not show up, Dominic
stepped in. Elvis will be banned from #1 and #2 for a month as per
VANDU rules)
morning
Graham - $10
Roy - $10
Kelvin - $10
afternoon
Laura - $10
Dave V - $10
Martin - $10
cleanup
Dave V - $15
Martin - $15
breakfast - $16.45 (VANDU money paid $15, the extra $1.45 was paid out
of street market revenue
Street Market Revenue-Paid volunteers
morning
Sean - $10 (helped a bit with setting up and making signs)
afternoon
Bud - $10 (helped collect the tables at the end of the day)
As per Saturday meeting, we tried an experiment of paying two
afternoon volunteers more to get them to stay and do the cleanup. It
seemed to work out ok, but we really need a better solution for
getting the vendors to leave when the market ends. It makes it
impossible to clean the park properly.
This will be discussed at the next meeting.
