Street Market Report - May 10th, 2015

Such a gorgeous day it was this Sunday in Vancouver on Mother's Day.

The temperature was warm, but not too warm. A great sign of things to come this summer.

There were so many firsts this day, it is hard to name them all...

1) We had a record breaking day for revenue with $280 in coffee, pop, and SLUSHIES. We also did surprisingly well with our table and tent revenue.

2) We had a surprise amazing visit from the film industry. A production company was filming an episode of "Man in The High Castle" (an Amazon production), outside our lot and the location manager excellently offered us a small fee for the use of the fence, and for storing a few items in our lot around the shoot days. The company donated $1,500 to the DTES Street Market Society. Thanks!!

Other than that, it was a great normal summer day with few incidents. We are extremely excited about our new revenue streams. We have now made more in the first few weeks of Q2 2015 than we did in all of Q2 last year...
