Street Market Report - March 22, 2015

It was a good spring day on our 250th consecutive Sunday market!!!

10 weeks until our 5 year anniversary at Pigeon Park.

We had a special guest, Arliss Trenholm, from the Ministry of Justice, that came down personally to help Mike with his security ID.
Mike passed the BST course several months ago, but the Ministry was missing some information on him, and Arliss decided to come down to our market on her day off to assist.
WOW! This is the kind of service that would make every British Columbian proud of their Provincial Government.

Thanks, Arliss!!!

We also had a large vendor meeting on Saturday and told a room full (perhaps 50 vendors) that the City of Vancouver has purchased a lot at 501 Powell St. that can become the permanent home of the DTES Street Market !!!

The lot is huge, and needs a lot of work, but with the help of the hard working people of the neighbourhood, we now we can get it done.

THANKS, CITY OF VANCOUVER!!
