The day was slightly rainy, with on and off showers throughout the day.
The usual chalking did not get done due to the wetness of the park and sidewalks.
The rain was not intense enough to keep away the vendors, however, with over 140 vendors counted at noon.
The market was very successful today, with only one scuffle that happened over in the drinker's lounge area of the park.
We also had a disagreement between two vendors, which resulted in the confiscation of a possible weapon (an ice climbing pick).
Operations Upgrade Report
Great things to report this week... We had two official security guards on duty: Ken K, and Loretta J.Here are their security badges.
They both did a great job and definitely made an impact on the professionalism of the market.
Several vendors were removed for either drinking in public or selling alcohol, and both security guards dealt with every situation in a professional and constructive way.
Other upgrades that were made were the addition of more hanging tarps along the east side of Carrall St., with 11 tarps hanging this Sunday.
Total numbers to complete the Art Mural is approximately 20 tarps along the Greenway.
It was amazing to see what a great job the 11 tarps are already doing to keep the Greenway clear... Here is a picture.
Another 34 vendors signed up for badges during the day, with our total number of badges now up to about 110.
The board voted to create a deadline of August 17th when the vendors will be required to wear badges in order to vend at the market.
Jacek did a great job of upgrading our carts. Two new carts have been built in the last two weeks. One, a specialized cart to carry tables, and the second one to hold the cooler and our new freezer.
We are still waiting for our new uniforms, but they should be here in a week or two.

We counted 142 Vendors at noon. This was close to record numbers. Many probably left early due to the heat.
Number of tents deployed = 24
Number of tables deployed = 13 x 5 foot tables, 12 x 10 foot tables, 42 x 4 foot tables
67 total tables deployed during our event.
Bathroom Summary
119 individuals used our portable bathrooms during the hours of 10am to 1pm
139 individuals used them during the hours of 1pm to 4pm
