A little bit of rain dampened the market somewhat, but we still had a solid showing of vendors and customers. A slight kerfuffle over Ruth Meta's tent, but we will deal with it at the street market committee.
Financial Report
1) 50/50 Raffle: $43.25 ($106.25 in the pot)
2) Table/Tent Rental: $94.00 ($8 contribution from Diane)
3) Coffee/Juice Sales: $51.00 (no hot chocolate, and no one wanted pop on a rainy day. $13 contribution from Diane's side of the market)
4) Bannock Sales: $4.00 (Miles came with Bannock and used our table for 25%)
Total Sales: $192.25
Total Spending: $197.85
Loss for the week: $5.60
Total spending on Stipends, lunch, etc: $649.10 (We had a mishap with the sandwiches and had to pay for them twice)
Total spent out of VANDU administered CoV grant: $600.00 (I am going to cap this at $600 so other revenue has to make up the slack)
Total in Petty Cash Now: $1,319.68
Goals for next week: Buy a new 20x10 tent from Walmart. Buy more costco tables.
Vendor Count
116 @ 12:30pm
(Not bad considering that it was rainy and cloudy all day)
General Report
All the volunteers did a great job today.
We had a minor incident with John S falling over and needing an ambulance. We also had a few incidents with the drinkers, but nothing that Tim could not handle.
Ruth Meta came by and wanted a tent near Diane Johnston's tent. We initially gave her a tent, but then the volunteers decided that another vendor deserved the tent more than she did. We will discuss this at the street market committee
We had the water turned on for the first time this Sunday, and we used the hose to great effect. Check out the photo of Jacek cleaning the park, and check out how empty the park is at 6:30pm. Without the hose, this would have been next to impossible.
Another day, another market went very well. No fights, and almost nobody bleeding.
