Street Market Report - October 21, 2012 - $151.22

It was a good day for raising money, despite the rain.

1) 50/50 Draw - $24.75
2) Tables, Tents - $72.00
3) Coffee, Pop - $54.47

Total = $151.22

A few donated items were sold, I just lumped the money into the coffee jar.

Boomer was morning RPIC#1 (first time) with Rob M as #2.
Teresa was afternoon RPIC#1 (also first time) with Glenn as #2

Everything went well despite the rain. The only fight that I noticed
was in the morning, a woman had a knife and left the market shortly
after starting to yell at a few people.

Holly was a guard in the morning and left her post after 15 min. She
should get at least a one week ban if not more.

Raised the rent on the tents from $6 to $10 and all the vendors paid
without arguing.

If we buy two more tents this week, the vendors will be quite happy
during the rainy season.
With 5 more functioning tents total, we should be able to cover most
of the park.

Last week - total revenues were $40.93 (did not write a report because
it was such a dismal day and we made so little money)

The included graph of revenues clearly shows the onset of winter now.

Another event at the market was that Craig Hathaway came up to the
tent and asked "what is going on with the market", and "what is going
on at the DNC".
He then said "I gave a lot to get the street market off the ground and
I want to know what is going on".

When I asked him how much money, he said "it doesn't matter", but
later said that it was many thousands of dollars.
When I asked him who he gave the money to, he said "CCAP".
I told him that I was unaware of any money that was given to start the
street market and was offended when he would not tell me how much he
had donated. I think that it is extremely dangerous to accept money
from private donors without a very clear relationship defined. He was
essentially acting like he had some kind of interest in the market.

As far as I know, CCAP has no relationship with the Street Market.
It is confusing to me why Craig would give money to CCAP for the Street Market.
